Writing

I have co-authored two cocktail books with my creative partner, illustrator Olivia McGiff. The first, Cocktails in Color: A Spirited Guide to the Art and Joy of Drinkmaking, was published with Union Square & Co. in February 2023. Our second book, Spirited Women: Makers, Shakers, and Trailblazers in the World of Cocktails, also published with Union Square & Co., came out in March and is on sale now!

I am also the creator of the blog, A Girl’s Guide to Drinking Alone, which reviews bars for how awesome or awful they are for women to go to alone.

Bartending

I started bartending as a side hustle to support my acting career. Slowly but surely, my passion for creating and serving drinks grew into something greater. I love discovering new flavor combinations, perfecting old classics and sharing my enthusiasm for spirits and cocktails.

Currently I sling cocktails at The Rockwell Place in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Bars I’ve worked at include Sweet Polly, The Standard, and Bathtub Gin.

I create custom cocktails and do virtual cocktail classes for various events, like engagement parties, work functions, holiday parties, and more. (Developing themed cocktail menus is my jam.) Currently, I’m the resident mixologist for the Tables of Contents reading series, and recently designed the cocktail menu for Tres Leches in Ithaca, NY.

I live in Brooklyn with my lovable mutt, Sherry.
